PHP still ships serious products

The question is not whether PHP is fashionable. It is whether your team can hire, host, and reason about the system in five years.

PHP 8 with disciplined PDO, CSRF, and a small module boundary remains a rational choice for content-rich and operational products.

Novelty belongs in the product, not in the runtime — unless the runtime is the product.
